Well, Euro cents.
Specifically the 20 cent coins (gold with notches around the edges) - as they work in our washing machines in hall - and are a hell of a lot cheaper than paying £1 for a washing token!
I will give a good exchange rate for any of these you might have lying around :D

Do any other currecncy pass off as the same as ours, e.g a dime passing for a quid in vending machines? purely for research info of course not free lecture snacks :shifty:

In most machines no but our washers are all industrial-like...

You can file some corners onto a £2 coin and it works in 50p pool tables.

What about a 2p? :D

Yeah, you can file it down to that size.

1. Push a couple of 50p coins into plastecine or blu-tak or similar
2. Remove the coins.
3. Fill the indentations with water.
4. Put in the freezer.
5. Several hours later you have perfect 50p shapes.
Don't put them into a snooker machine though because that would be naughty even though it works,

lol :) Reminds me when I used to nick the plastic play money from school as a kid, to use in the "put money in and twist handle" sweety machines some shops had :D
The 20p plastic coins rocked for free bubblegum goodness :D

I remember seeing that on a documentary years ago. People in council houses uses to use it to feed their coin operated gas meters, especially good because the "money" would melt. leaving no evidence of wrongdoing for the inspectors. :D

Are those the huge washing machines that fail to actually clean clothes Sara?
I hated them last year, i had some mud on my jeans and washed them, it didn't come off so i took them to my Aunt's and Uncle's house :)
